  1. Basically, how do you really pump up the “breakfast” part of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s”? A sequel has to be bigger and better, and clearly, the important part of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is the breakfast, so it needs to be about a truly epic breakfast.

  2. I agree that the joke is referring to the opening scene of big action sequels. What I’d be really interested in finding out is what does this have to do with Don Martin? I feel like there’s a deeper joke in there somewhere.

  3. The coffelier knocks down a salt cellar, spilling salt – bad luck. Somehow that’s important enough for both the characters to spend a panel looking shocked and horrified. And then she goes bonkers, glukking coffee from the jug and so on. Does that fend off the bad luck? Is she having breakfast all at once to get it down her before the bad luck hits? I have no idea.

  4. One form of that superstitious belief is that throwing the spilled salt over your left shoulder blinds the devil, who is waiting there to force you into acts of bad behavior. Guess she forgot to do that…

  5. Aside from the first one, the rest of them [sound effects] are all lame.

I agree the rest of them are rather more conventional than invented; but that’s not a big weakness as I see it.
