The second panel makes sense in the context of the current storyline: Frazz just taught Caulfield how to swim, and Caulfield can already outrace him (and, being 7 years old, is being so gracious about it).
But what’s with B.C. in the first panel?

I just received my copy of the third Frazz collection. It is amazingly good.

So I’m reading in the paper today that yesterday morning Jay Serdula became the first person with Asperger’s Syndrome to swim across Lake Ontario.
Setting aside the question of why this was considered newsworthy at all… Who the hell keep track of this sort of thing and why?

Okay, one person sends this to me

and I explain it: The joke is that Frazz is telling Caulfield that he doesn’t need a ton of equipment for swimming, yet he himself has 30 pair of goggles. Then a second person sends it to me, and I repeat the explanation. Then comes a third and a fourth, and now I’m wondering whether maybe this isn’t as straightforward as I think it is.

Please tell me this has nothing to do with the fact that his left swimsuit leg seems to be really flared out…
