You guys rock — two dollars more than you rocked last year: in true photo-finish manner, the total amount collected through the CIDU page ended at $510, beating last year’s record $508. K-Mart sends a $50 gift card to anybody who shows up at the March with at least $1000, and that’s going to a local women’s shelter.

It’s that time of year again when I’m asking everybody to contribute what they can to the March of Dimes (using the PayPal button in the left-hand column). I’ll personally match the total amount.
My older son and I have been participating in the annual walkathon (now known as the March for Babies) since 1993. That era is now over, since he’s working in Boston — so this year my younger son takes over “make sure Dad gets to the finish line without keeling over” duties.
