Upheaval

Not true synchronicity, since the comics refer to an historical event commemorated today (in his blog, Jimmy Johnson writes, “I’ll let you in on a little secret: all cartoonists have calendars featuring every holiday and commemoration imaginable, plus a few more. On days of desperation — ie, days they have to draw — the cartoonists will flip through to see ‘what’s up.’”), but it’s more than passing strange that two cartoonists independently chose to reference The Great Upheaval.
