Janice Rey: I don’t get why Dilbert yells “chair!” Or maybe I do - are the focus group participants throwing a chair at the observation window?

Eh, not really a great bit of synchronicity, I guess. Though as long as I’m here, I was wondering… Do any west-coast parents let their younger kids watch the Times Square ball fall at 9pm local time, convince the young’uns that they’ve stayed up until midnight, and then herd them into bed?
Elyrest: Here’s one to throw into your New Year’s Eve Time Zone Synchronicity. It even deals with the ball falling in another time zone. The strip’s “
Home and Away”

Okay, we have a little bit of everything here: synchronicity, of course. Some might find them ewww-worthy. This one was an LOL for me:
And this one is a CIDU:

Morris Keesan: The first two panels are fairly typical for a strip involving Dogbert, but I don’t get the last panel at all. Is it just that Dogbert is “in Dilbert’s face”? Or is he standing on Dilbert’s penis?

A whole lot of people sent me this one. Presumably he means that since he’s a mammal, he can regulate his body heat. Thank you, Mrs. Erenberg. But the sonar reference is a mystery unless he’s implying that she’s a reptilian bat, which isn’t really much of a joke and only proves that my fourth grade teacher was better than his fourth grade teacher.

Morris Keesan: ArLOL… I was going to say that I didn’t really laugh out loud at this one, more snorted, but in this context the word “snort” may be a bit ambiguous.

Robert Copen sent this for the Arlo Page — appropriately enough, but it’s also on my LOL list.

Solar Rhino: I get that Dilbert has been restored… but by berry juice? By the placebo version of berries? Either way, why was the woman disappointed that it worked? If she didn’t want it to work, why give it to him in the first place?

Okay, this is one of those “comic strip character gets angry for reasons I can’t remotely understand” strips: She said the card gives him discounts. He says he’ll be paying the same as he’d pay in the grocery store across the street. Does he think she’s lying about the discounts, or is he shopping in a store that simply charges more for everything to begin with and if so, how stupid does that make him? On the other hand if he has good reasons for shopping at a more expensive supermarket (better produce, for example), then the fact that the card might reduce the prices to those of the grocery store across the street is still a good thing.
In either case, dude, stop off at the pharmacy department for a Prozac.
