This commercial for Axe body wash was banned in South Africa — literally banned, by that country’s Advertising Standards Authority, which has the power to do such a thing — after a single complaint by somebody who called it insulting to Christians.
The two obvious questions are, is this really offensive enough to warrant being banned? And is this more offensive to Christians than every Axe commercial ever produced is to women?
