Are one third of all Sports Illustrated readers outraged each year by the Swimsuit Issue? If not, I don’t get this.
Of course, if one third of all Sports Illustrated readers are outraged each year by the Swimsuit Issue, well… they’ve been doing this for a while. Shouldn’t these people either accept it at this point or simply not subscribe?

It’s All About Content, Except When It’s Not

This reminds me of those final nightmare years at About.com when the “editors,” few of whom had any actual writing or web site experience, alternated between telling us to focus on content to the exclusion of everything else, and focusing on community to the exclusion of everything else –and then penalized anybody who couldn’t switch gears (including reformatting years of earlier work) quickly enough.
But putting the unpleasant déjà vu aside, what’s the joke here?
The meta line, by the way, was “I’m looking to virally monetize your eyeballs by selling them for transplants.”
