Winter Wallaby: I get that the cake is melting so will be all liquid tomorrow, requiring a straw. But I don’t understand what the characters are doing. Bringing a nice cake for Ethan is completely out of character for Mike. Has Mike intentionally done this so that Ethan will have a ruined cake tomorrow? Are the multiple panels where Ethan stares, tight-lipped, at the cake, supposed to indicate that Ethan is mad about this? Do neither of them know about the wonders of refrigeration technology?
