Assuming even a modest 25 mpg, a “one gallon radius” will include more than 1962 [corrected figure] square miles. Dude, if you can’t find a girlfriend in an area of more than 1962 square miles, the price of gas is probably the least of your problems.

This is rapidly becoming the all-weather version of the If we’ve got global warming, why is it so cold — get it? get it? gag. Text messaging is simply a means of communication that employs its own protocol — just as telegrams sacrificed grammar for economy — and does not impact the ability to spell properly.
