    Too bad the colorist wasn’t on board with the joke.

    On which days were those two published? If it was earlier this week, then Monday’s actual Ziggy strip counts too: http://www.gocomics.com/ziggy/2017/11/27

    The colourist on the Whamond screwed up by not making Ziggy’s legs the same colour as his head and hands, though.

    The Reality Check is today’s, the PCST yesterday’s.

    As to the Ziggy, what’s the point of a joke based on your own strip’s long-running art style? And this carries its own problems: does Ziggy live in a universe where people notice he doesn’t wear pants? And if so, why hasn’t be been arrested decades ago?

    Coming next week: “Love is… thinking nobody notices you’re both running around naked. “

    Speaking of “needing parts”, there’s this classic “Far Side”.

    “Puts some pants on”? Increase that proof-reading budget.

    YEah, but what does the #$%^ing squirrel need? A snarky remark?

    @4 - I actually like that the author of Ziggy is getting in on the pantsless joke that has long been mentioned by others for years. Instead of getting angry or offended that people make fun of his strip, he’s decided to join in by poking fun at himself. Seems like a worthy characteristic to have.

    But… Homer isn’t bald because of the Simpsons’ art style, he’s bald because he doesn’t have any hair…

    @4 and @10.

    That’s not a Ziggy cartoon.

    @12 - We were referring to the link provided by Powers @2, which is a Ziggy comic.

    Ah, that is interesting. Cartoon universes need not be consistent.
