    Not sure from your title if this is really a CIDU, or a “that’s all there is?”, but. . .

    The point of the story was that the pencil didn’t have a point. So the pencil was dull, although Luann doesn’t consider herself dull. Just some pointless wordplay, nothing more to see here.

    her sketch was awful because she was six, she blamed her pointless pencil because she was six. Now that she’s grown up her sketches are better, but it’s her stories that are pointless. But at least she’s not dull like Bernice.

    I find myself a little sad after reading this strip. I’d have enjoyed it quite a bit if it had ended in the middle panel before the “duh”. I also think it should have been a daily strip (even if Luann doesn’t have them anymore; I’ve been a little confused by the discussion here). That said, I just re-read the last panel and.. , I take it all back.
