    I read ‘Dark Side of the Horse’ every day . . . yet the ones that show up here are ones I’ve never seen - how does THAT work?

    DSOTH when it goes meta seems to often invite us to go too far with it. In this one, the skewed illumination-and-shadow squares up above, which probably just denote light coming in thru panes across the room at an angle, could be read as an actual skew structure above the sign. Just that in this case it doesn’t add anything …

    I think it’s just that the old-fashioned barred window resembles a jail cell. And what crime would lead to postal incarceration?

    Actually there are a few postal related crimes that would lead to incarceration, but I doubt Insufficient Postage is one, which is why this one was so funny to me.

    I like the DSOTH one, but according to the map showing where he is prior to walking into the X in the floor, there’s no wall there for the map to be attached to.

    Reminds me of Groucho Marx, in a movie, telling a bank teller (or was it a race track cashier?) “I’m glad to see you’re behind bars, where you belong.”
