Obvoisly the person objecting is an attorney for the prosecution. the defense attorney knows that you other brothers can’t deny that when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist and a round thing in your face you get sprung.

I think it’s just a commentary on how some take sports too seriously. These guys are so competitive they took their game to a higher court. Mere referees won’t do.

I like Mark M’s explanation (@4) very much. Having read it, the cartoon is much better. Heck, it’s almost funny.
I would never have gotten the joke that Wafferthinmint was suggesting (@2) if I had not seen the karaoke number at the end of “Shrek” (with the dragon providing the posterior).
P.S. @3 - Is “Waffer” intentional, or just a typo as well?

Or, from the opposite perspective of Mark M, court procedure is nothing but a game with its own silly ass rules.

Missed opportunity to draw Moses Malone when he played for the Hawks.

Reminds me of the old one about how someone was watching a fight the other day and a hockey game broke out.

It’s a basketball court. I don’t think there is anything further to it.

@ Kilby, it is pronounced “waffer” in the Mr. Creosote scene.
and I cannot spell worth a damn.

Yeah, I got waffer.
