    He thought he called him ‘whisky’ - a whisk is a type of short broom. The bartender is a regular broom, and didn’t appreciate being called short.

    Actually, we don’t have the full transcript. He may have said, ‘Hey f**ker, give me a whiskey,’ and then chickened out on repeating the order when confronted.

    While trying to figure it out, I looked at the labels on the taps.
    I couldn’t read the one on the left, but the one on the right is
    “Calvin & Hops”

    The joke is that “whiskey” is supposed to be a negatively inflected slang for a sentient whisk broom. Sort of like if the cowboy had called the bartender “whitey.”
