Are you a candy cane, or a peppermint stick that’s just happy to see me?

I AM a candy cane, and I AM happy to see you.

These candy cane jokes call for a posting of the most recent arc of Sequential Art (Uhm…may be NSFW, depending on your work’s attitude toward things that look like things but really aren’t…). (The characters there are all poorly socialized geniuses.)

Even though this was a terrible, cringeworthy, and condescending song, Mac Davis was da bomb at the time. Besides, how could you not love the guy who gave the world the immortal lyrics: “Oh Lord it’s hard to be humble when you’re perfect in every way. I can’t wait to look in the mirror ‘cos I get better looking each day. To know me is to love me, I must be a hell of a man. O Lord it’s hard to be humble, but I’m doing the best that I can.”

But, The Bad Seed, “Girl you’re a hot blooded woman, child, and it’s warm where you’re touching me.” I remember Mac Davis well, but I never quite got his attraction. His songs do bring me right back to a certain part of my life though and still make me smile.
