Seems pretty basic…Santa ate so many Hostess products he got too heavy for the sleigh to hold him and ended up plummeting out of it when the floor collapsed, then sued Hostess over it.

There are so many things about that that bug me, but it doesn’t seem hard to figure out.

I don’t think it is necessarily a “Ho-ho” reference: Santa got too fat for his sleigh and is suing Hostess as the cause…. regardless of if he ate too many Ho-Hos, Twinkies, Fruit Pies, or…

Agree with the above, but also wondering if things are so tough at the North Pole that Santa had to lay off half the herd.

fuzzmaster, he only needs the full complement when the sleigh is full of toys for good little girls and boys. It isn’t Christmas yet, so this is just a training mission (Note how bored the reindeer look.)

Of course it’s a Ho Hos reference. What else would Santa have eaten on his annual trips to the USA? Back home at North Pole NU Canada, although similar products are available, and even though his postal code is H0H 0H0, Santa is said to be partial to Jos Louis and May Wests.

I can imagine the dialog preceding the first panel: “Ho, ho … oh s–t!” I was so clueless about the brand I didn’t know Hostess had made the product.

No way on the lawsuit. They’ll just say it’s the cookies and milk to blame.

If Hostess gets sued, they’ll just use the Twinkie defense.

I just noticed that the reindeer aren’t running; their legs are just dangling in mid-air. How realistic is that?

    ;)

If they’re magically flying, do they really need to use their legs?

“I just noticed that the reindeer aren’t running; their legs are just dangling in mid-air. How realistic is that?”

You’re looking at flying reindeer, and your complaint is that the way their legs are(n’t) moving is the unrealistic part?

J-L (#10) posted a JOKE. Notice the wink at the end?

I think it’s time to drink a little eggnog if we’re missing the jokes here.

Minor point, but I don’t think it’s Santa doing the suing (as #1 and #2 suggest). I’m guessing either it’s all the boys and girls who didn’t get their presents, or the people below that Santa fell on. Hence, “lawsuits” is plural.

All wrong. Rudolph sabotaged the sleigh, and if he gets caught he’s using the “Twinkie Defense.”
