Eight Months From Now Called…

I mean seriously, couldn’t Stahler have held onto this until the general election had started? When, you know, it would have made sense?

The gag would definitely be less weak when the competition is actually Repubs vs. Democrats instead of just Repubs vs. other Repubs.
What’s the cut-off for the geezers tag? Ali vs. Frazier was in 1971. I learned about it in history class in grade school.

I get it… the one on the right is Romney, right?

Maybe Stahler has a time machine also?

This IS a geezer, since the “Brawl of the Century” was Louis Vs. Schmeling.

That was a different century, PB. (That is, if you use the initial 2 digits of a year to define your centuries.)

1938 is in a different century from 1971?

It will not make sense eight months from now either. If you believe Ali vs. Frazier was the brawl of the (20th) century, no new brawl in the 21st century should change that…

No, 1938 (or 1971) is in a different century from 2012.

Honestly, a 2012 election that started in 2010 is the brawl of a century?!? Isn’t it more like having every Sunday dinner with the in-laws?

Stahler remembers the good ol’ days when political opponents got along swimmingly, apparently.

I think he’s commenting on the now endless campaigning will go on for a century. Or at least seem to.
“CNN exit polls predict that (insert candidate’s name) has won the office of president. His opponent has just given his concession speach and simultaneously announced his candidacy for 2016, claiming the current president has already failed to live up to campaign promises.”
