I don’t think we’re
quite at the point where you have to be a geezer to know what a roll of film is, but people under a certain age aren’t really going to “get” the whole “photos are expensive” concept.
In 1999, I took my son to the New York International Auto Show for the first time (though he’d been going to smaller shows since he was 3 years old). He went through 19 rolls of film. That’s film plus developing.
I bought my first digital camera just before the 2000 show, realizing I’d pretty much save the price of the camera after only two shows.

The Monobookist (the real-world version)
Also, there’s another bookstore that sells only a single title at a time — I think they change the title each month — but I only heard bits and pieces of the story on NPR the other day, so I can’t offer any further details.

I just installed a program that lets me watch tv shows and movies on my cell phone screen. Would I actually ever watch a tv show or movie on my cell phone screen? Get real: I’m 55 years old — I’d be seeing cross-eyed for a week. But how cool is it that I could?

Because if so, wouldn’t it have made more sense just to offer her a free cookie?

Clearly cutting down trees is not ecologically wise; but “but not like this” implies some sort of apparent contradiction, as opposed to “this is an example of what not to do.”

Just wondering… Is mayonnaise something that people traditionally have trouble opening?

First of all, why doesn’t the well accept a clam, since clams are apparently the unit of currency in BCLand?
More significantly, why go through this whole set-up if it’s not going to end with the well throwing out a corpse?

Well yes, the premise is factually accurate, but what’s the joke here?

Did my taxes back in early February – but since I owed money, I put the completed forms in a safe place intending to mail them out today.
Can anybody NOT see where this is going?
