I seem to remember a Don Martin cartoon that went something like this: A man is walking down the road. He sees a sign that says “Turn Left”. He turns left. He sees a sign that says “Turn Right”. He turns right. He sees a sign that says “Beware of Falling Safes.” He stops and stares at it, puzzled. A safe falls on him.

The poor fellow is just prone to bad luck, and the signs aren’t helping a bit. He’s being chased by the dog, slipping on the wet floor, right into the tornado. The other people are unaffected, showing just how capricious life can be (i.e. that this one guy is the one the universe is mad at, and there’s nothing to be done about it.)

Looks like the dog has the sign stuck in his head.
