Got To Thinking About Tom the Toikey…

Back in the 60s and 70s, you just didn’t see a commercial for Carvel, Redenbacher Popcorn, Perdue Chicken or Kentucky Fried Chicken that didn’t include Tom, Orville, Frank or the Colonel serving as cartoonish spokemen for their companies.

Does that happen anymore? I can’t think of a single 21st century company that goes this route (though Redenbacher, Perdue and KFC do use occasionally Orville’s son, Frank’s son and the Zombie Colonel).
