It’s an unforgettable image from that movie. That and Sigourney Weaver in her underwear.

Funny, just the other day in one of the RPGs I’m playing in, I made a reference to that scene…weird….

I remember seeing other references to it lately. I think it was while I was going through Something*Positive’s archives.

With classic material, age doesn’t matter. “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn” is seventy years old, after all.

I roared with laughter at the parody of that scene with Avery Schreiber in “Galaxina”.

Why is that kid so nonchalant about having skin cancer? This isn’t Funky Winkerbean.

Speaking of FW, what the heck is going on in that story currently? Medium Large had a parody/homage strip last week that hinted he died in that auto accident, but doesn’t quite realize it and hence is wandering around town as a ghost not understanding why everything is closed.

Other than the obvious, I’m guessing it’s a time-travel plot.

June 26 - “I’m not getting any bars.” Pre-cell phone era.
June 27 - “…no time like the present.” Time reference.
June 28 - “…serious pruning in the town square.” Town square as it was years ago.
July 1 - Montoni’s closed on July 4th as it was years ago.

    Forgot to add…

FW has “time-warped” forward at least twice (that I know of).

Maybe this is a time-warp back to better days.
