Well, that was a short trip. We aborted the mission after about 45 minutes of heavy wind, freezing rain and flooded roads. After we pulled off the highway, we checked both weather.com and Accuweather, and both of them insisted that the current local weather was 40 degrees and cloudy. Look out a @#$% window, guys!

Just as well we turned around: We were headed for Boston today and Providence tomorrow, and I just heard that tonight and tomorrow Providence is expecting their worst flooding in over 100 years.

I was rather surprised, by the way, that only two wiseguys sent “suck” comments.

When I placed this in the queue a few weeks ago, I had no idea what they were talking about. In the interim, I read The Audacity to Win, which discussed the fact that President Obama is seriously bowling-challenged. So this is no longer a CIDU, but a question remains: Is Obama’s inability to knock down tenpins common enough knowledge to make this comic work?

but new CIDUs will go online on schedule. If a comment of yours end up in the moderation folder, though, it’s going to be there for a while, and sending me e-mails telling me about it won’t do any good (actually it never does, since the notification from WordPress arrives before your e-mail). A good rule of thumb would be not using the word “suck” in your comments for a while.
