So you’re allowed to grab them on the comics page now as long as you call them oompa loompas??

Oompa-Loompas is a long-standing Pearls Before Swine euphemism. If they’ve gotten away with it this long, I think they’re safe.

Hmmm. It looks like Pig’s arms are too short to actually reach his oompa-loompas. Poor guy.

Yeah, he looks as if he’s grabbing his stomach.

I don’t think a pig’s oompa-loompas are in the same place as a human’s. This is taking anthropomorphication too far!

I just like to use that word. One doesn’t get to very often.

If “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” is ever on their movie night, how do they discuss the cast of characters?

I’ve always disliked those network bugs, I was just unaware of the safety dangers they brought. Consider myself educated.

Rat seems a little … umm, short to be too worried.

Rat’s short, but his legs are about the same length as Pig’s…so his Oompah Loompahs are still in danger.

Actually, it just occurred to me Rat’s Oompah Loompahs have probably been removed… Intact adult male rats are pretty…unmistakable.

Oompah Loompahs are small and orange. Hmmm.

The artwork in this PBS made me LOL.

Hopefully, my new glasses will let me read this without cranking it up so big it runs off the right side of the page.

It took me a while to figure this out, but this strip is about irony. It’s ironic that a floating logo be able to interact with characters as though it’s a solid object. It’s alao ironic that this strip points out the indecency of animal characters wearing just a cup when they’ve been naked all this time but we didn’t “realize” it because we’re so used to seeing naked animal characters. It’s also ironic that these male characters are anatomically incorrect in a way that should destroy the joke but doesn’t.

I just noticed somewhere that somewhere between the 3rd and 4th panel, Rat puts on a cup.

    2 oompa-loompas, 1 cup?
