I don’t get it. Someone please explain.

Olive Oyl has an advance model of the new BlackPad, BlackBerry’s tablet response.

Er, but that’s not the joke. Popeye thought that rigid cylinder in his pants was something else

mud: you also need to be at least somewhat familiar with Popeye to get it; in Popeye cartoons, when things look bleak, Popeye invariably produces a can of spinach from his pockets, gulps the whole can at once, and immediately gains superhuman strength.

Ideally, the “sext message” should end “Ag ug ug ug ug ug!” (How Popeye laughs…)

I think his laugh is more like “ack ack ack ack ack”, which, in print, looks like something a Martian would say.

To me, it sounds like “Ug-yug-yug-yug-yug-yug”.

Could the claim of confusion there be a boast?

Maybe he just wants Olive to be the “can opener”.

Popeye (like many other cartoon characters) turned up in unauthorized “eight-pagers” or “Tijuana Bibles.” What spinach did for him was very amusing (and very gratifying to Olive Oyl).

I don’t care how it “sounds”, Popeye’s laugh is spelled “Arf! Arf! Arf!”
