Are you sure there wasn’t a Mutts strip with the acorn-throwing squirrels that day?

It’s nothing special when Mutts does a nut-throwing strip.

Chorus: He went into the jungle, Where all the monkeys throw nuts.
Captain Spaulding: If I stay here I’ll go nuts.
Chorus: Hooray hooray hooray!

Oh, I really like that you put banners telling which comics they are. Most I already recognize, but sometimes it’s hard to tell.

The Pearls before Swine is an LOL for me. Something about his calm “please stop throwing nuts” is very charming.

This reminds me of an old Calvin and Hobbes strip, in which Calvin is playing w/ his toy soldiers and tanks outside; Hobbes, unseen in a tree, chucks two pinecones at Calvin’s head. “‘Two direct hits!’ ‘I see you up there!!’” Although none of us would probably appreciate it, there’s something oddly charming about the old object-from-a-tree gag.
