I prefer Del Monte brand myself. And I go through a lot myself. I’ve got at least two extra bottles in the cabinet. At my market, though, the small bottles are the better buy.

Ketchup of the heinze variety is a staple in our house and we always have 2 in the pantry and one in the fridge. lol.

Also I noticed the play on Carl/ Catsup and Karl/ Ketchup…lol

I remember once coming across a display of squash catsup. It looked like it had been made from one of the relatively dark-colored (as in deep orange) squashes. I’ve wondered ever since what it was like; really should haved bought a bottle.

The original ketchup/catsup sauce is a chinese fish sauce whose pronunciation is probably closer to catsup.

Michael Brown - Yes, there are other kinds of ketchup. Ketchup is a sauce and in the US it is usually, but not always, tomato. There are other varieties out there - mushroom, banana and blueberry being ones I have seen.

Wait, why is it so weird to have three or four bottles of ketchup in the cupboard? I think I have three in there right now… The stuff lasts practically forever.
