Somebody finally decided they could make a buck selling the Charlie Brown Christmas tree (or it may have been around before, but I didn’t notice it until this year).

Just a guess, but my theory is he beat up poor sad-sack Charlie Brown as CB was taking the tree to the trash, and took it home to use for their tree.

Arthur - Sally Forth and the drawing style have long elicited comments from many people (what is with Ted and his feminine hands!), but Craig MacIntosh has drawn the strip since 1992.

Are you telling us you think Ted is male??

I thought she was just the comparatively more masculine-looking member of this Lesbian couple, who likes to wear men’s shirts and goes by the nickname Ted. I admit I was surprised a couple weeks ago when their daughter called her “Dad”, but that could just mean she’s carrying the male/paternal role identification a little far.

Is the daughter completely adopted, or is Ted’s partner (is that the titular Sally?) the biological mother? Is the bio-father known to them, or anonymous from a sperm bank?

Does that final panel mean that Sally Forth is going to go into reruns just like For Better or For Worse? Hard to believe that the same artist has had it since 1992, I remember a procession of various artists and writers after the original creator decided he could not draw.

At least young Sally does look a lot like Hilary looks now, but Ted doesn’t even vaguely resemble himself in either of these frames! The first frame gives him a much bigger schnozz than I’ve ever seen on him, and he’s definitely rocking the lesbian-home-depot-worker look in the second frame - aside from those cursed girly hands and the limp-wristed pose. Or is that “jazz hands”?

Many women marry men who remind them of their fathers. Sally simply married a man who’s a dead ringer for her mother.

I’m sure this is already been covered in Sally Forth fanfic.
