@ Tullia (6) -
There are already 24 or 32 short episodes of "Shaun the Sheep" available, I've seen at least three different DVD collections in stores (8 episodes per disk). They are extremely well done. I have heard that the Cracking Contraptions are also available on DVD, but I have not found it yet.

The sheep's name was spelled "Sean" in the subtitles on "A Close Shave" (it was a pun on "shorn"), but the series spells it "Shaun", presumably to make it easier to pronounce in non-angloamerican markets.

@Tullia: The sheep show is called "Shaun the Sheep" and it's in its third season and is available on DVD for purchase or rental. (http://www.shaunthesheep.com/)

The amazing thing to me is that all the Wallace & Gromit shorts are hand-animated. People moving small clay figures a tiny bit at a time, taking a picture, and then moving them again.

And, of course, all the emotions that Gromit manages to convey without speaking.

If you're new to W&G, be sure to check out Nick Park's Oscar winning short, "Creature Comforts":

Hmmm ... I have a set of the first three, but they don't have the Cracking Contraptions shorts. As an aside, one of the things i find frustrating about DVDs is the business of releasing and re-releasing them each time with more stuff on them,

However ... I don't want to complain as it IS Thanksgivng .... so Happy Thanksgiving all.

If you get the movies on DVD -- there's some set of the first three, each about 30 minutes -- the set includes the Cracking Contraptions shorts.

The 30-minute shows were all Christmas/Christmas Eve/Boxing Day releases. Wouldn't that be cool, to wake up to Wallace and Gromit? And there was one last year that's not on DVD. AND they're making a kids' show with the sheep from _A Close Shave_! Want.

I saw the very first Wallace and Gromit at an animation festival many years ago. It has been interesting watching the characters as well as the quality of animation evolve. They are always a delight
