The “Wake up grandpa” (instead of, “Wake up, Grandpa”) distracted me enough to lose interest in the gag. That, and the awkwardness of talking to two different people in one balloon.
Or maybe she WAS telling the girl to wake Grandpa, in which case it’s even MORE distracting.

Keera - I should have known.

Bullthistle, when women talk about ‘the size of a…’ it’s usually fruit or other foods, and when men do, it’s usually a ball - baseball, basketball, golf ball. Are you sure you’re not just noticing when it’s not the way you’d say it? (Assuming here that you’re male.)

It seems to me that every time I read about the size of something medical it’s in food terms - usually fruit but also sesame seeds, poppy seeds and nuts. Don’t know if they are written by women, but haven’t you all heard of the watermelon sized tumors, the egg sized growths, the pea sized kidney stones?
