El Día de los Muertos

Three people sent in this trio: Elyrest (”I know that the Grim Reaper/Death is used in comics all the time, but a triple whammy today made me stop and think. Are Rubes, Reality Check and Strange Brew trying to tell me something?”), Laurie Wylie (”I checked the calendar to make sure there wasn’t some new holiday I hadn’t heard of…”), and Nicole.

I’m guessing the last one has to do with the “til death do us part” section of the vows. This would be a literal take on it.

‘Tundra’ also featured the Grim Reaper in the strip of November 18th - can’t find a link to it, but check out www.tundracomics.com next week, as the strips run a week behind.

Hmm, i prefer my death either speaking in CAPS or being a perky goth girl.

Now we know the turn around time for these comic strips; they were probably all conceived on or about the Day of the Dead.

The first one would have been better if it there were several people in the room, and the reaper thinking “Now, who did I come in here for?”

Todd’s explanation (#8) sounds about right. But leaves you thinking, Gee, can’t they get a calendar and look a couple weeks ahead?
