It’s been done so many times, so many ways.

I have to admit when I first saw it I thought the guy was getting ready to stick his head in something’s mouth. (It looks like two teeth on the top and teeth on the bottom.) After that making no sense I figured out it was the Batman symbol. I figure he’s a lighthouse keeper and he’s putting the bat symbol on the light. Why? Maybe he’s bored. I do know that isn’t how a Fresnel lens works though and that guy would be blinded by the light.

Or maybe just revved up like a deuce.

Why is he floating above the third rung of the ladder?

It’s the lighthouse keeper’s Halloween decoration.

    Multiple reasons why not:

1: the bat will cut down on the light coming out, therefor reduce the usefulness of the lighthouse.
2a: They live in the DCU, and she doesn’t want to piss off Batman by having the constant faux-batsignal.
2b: They don’t live in the DCU, and she doesn’t want him announcing to the world that he’s that much of a geek.

It’s Commissioner Gordon’s lighthouse keeping brother.

I was about to ask what was up with the enormous blimp, but I finally realised that that’s the ceiling, and the ‘wire’ is a sprocket in the window.

That’s the problem of being Batman… anyone with a flashlight, a piece of paper, and a pair of scissors can call him.

I doubt it’s a good idea to lean your weirdly asymmetrical ladder against the lens of a searchlight.

Jeez - I just thought he wanted Batman’s help in getting a little somethin’ from his wife that night….

Lighthouses are supposed to warn ships away, so turning it into the bat signal, while amusing, is counter productive.

I laughed when I saw it, ’cause that’s what I’d want to do. And I’d also probably be fired for it pretty quick too.

    Catelli-

Though I respect that a lot
I’d be fired if that were my job
After killing Jason off and countless screaming Argonauts

He’s calling the Dark Knight on a dark night.

Nice, Blinky, that’s one of my favorite TMBG songs.

I didn’t recognize the background as water and thought they were in a lighthouse on the moon (never mind the moon in the shot). Of course, calling Batman all the way up to the moon would be a bad idea if it wasn’t an emergency.

Bluebird of friendliness, like guardian angels, it’s always near!

I’ll have that song in my head for the rest of the day. Thanks, Blinky.

I also vote TMBG FTW. Good one, Blinky.

Badly drawn, done before… I found it funny anyway. Kinda.
