Dammit, how the heck didn’t I get that? I kept thinking that “Hello I’m ______” was the name of something from the early 70s. Maybe the horse named “Mr. Ed” distracted me or whatever….

I’m 20 and got it immediately. I know it from Grand Theft Auto San Andreas, where I’ve heard the song like a million times in my thousands of hours of playing.

Besides, the quotation at the top of every episode was “Hello. I’m Mr. Ed”. Which is exactly what the name tag says. It’s worth a bit of unrealism to achieve synchronization.

I’m 26 and I got it, along with all the other horse names. It did take a second because I was trying to figure out what would have gone on the nametag, until I understood and … TNLOLAW (tried not to laugh out loud at work).

Then again, it might help that I watched a whole lot of TV while growing up.

I’m well aware of the talking horse, of course, I’ve just never seen any name tag with “Mr.” anything on it. Maybe “Dr.”
