There are a surprisingly large number of people who vociferously, even emotionally, object to (what seems to me) the commonsense view that the dismissive “that sucks” and “you suck” etc. are usually making an allusion, perhaps buried, to fellatio. I’m glad to see the Milholland takes it for granted too.

Sili — I didn’t notice the sign when I sent it in — of course it adds to the joke. As a master of disguise the chameleon has disgusied himself as an entymologist — even more of an LOL

Tristara and Nicole, the chameleon joke would work better if the cartoonist knew how to spell “entomology” and weren’t confusing it with “etymology”.

Mitch4, “that sucks” and “you suck” may make an allusion to fellatio, but I always associated it with non-human partners, (I.e. “…sucks donkey [penis].”, or is short for “sucks eggs”.

Mitch 4 is right, about what this comic means tho, it’s the only way it’s funny. and it is pretty funny. and the kid will not get it till he’s grown.
