The last panel of both made me giggle, but I think that the “Pearls before Swine” one was a bit of a stretch. I, at least, don’t normally say coffee is “served bottomless.” Usually it’s just “a bottomless coffee.”

When I read Pearls yesterday I couldn’t figure out why the cook is saying, “Fine I’ll take my shirt off, too” when his shirt is already off. It would have been funnier with the shirt on. A guy with his pants off, yet otherwise fully dressed, is always funnier than a totally naked guy.

PBS should have stopped at the 3rd panel. When I saw this, I KNEW it would show up here. Definitely ewwwey.

This is the whole queue for ewwws? I figured everyone would have already turned in Friday’s Monty, unless Papa BIll is keeping it in reserve.

Rasheed - (Spoiler for above mentioned comic ahead!) Keep in mind it was just a jug of lemonade, and not the girl he picked up. I can see the Ewww in it, but only by association.

PvP is an EWWW about once a week, except when it’s on a tear, and then it’s an EWWWwwwWWW! for about two weeks straight.

I think the PBS needs the 4th panel because I would have missed the slight
subtle details of the 3rd and would have sent it in as a CIDU. I would thusly
be ridiculed for not being very observant. The 4th panel put it into literal LOL mode
for me.

PBS could have been written a lot more naturally. Might have been funnier if the waitress had said “Bottomless? Well, I suppose we could…”
And what’s up with that robot character in Monty? Is it going to come full circle and be about a robot man again?

Pig shouldn’t ask if the cup is served bottomless for it would be very difficult to pour coffee into a cup with no bottom!

That top strip’s trying way too hard to be absurdist. I hate stuff like that.

Rainey - Pastis did that gag last week.
Comics.com isn’t responding properly, ATM, but it’s the strip from the 27th.

Very old joke; in a silent Laurel & Hardy movie, Stan Laurel as a waiter is instructed to “serve the salad — undressed”.
He does leave his undies on.

Ok, my bad, when I first read it, it was B&W and I was noticing the burnt toast woman and missed the jug. As for the PvP Hughes tribute, it’s referencing Jeffrey Jones, and Jeffrey Jones = evil vile man.

The first one is a reference to the very last scene of “Ferris Buellers Day Off” Mr. Rooney the pricipal out to catch Ferris, is beaten and is picked up by a school bus. A kid in the back offers him a gummy bear, thats kinda warm and gooey.
They just don’t make movies like that anymore…sigh..
