They Lost Me at ”Hat” (definitely Arlo Page material here)

Do I even want to know what the last line means?(In case it’s not obvious to people who don’t read Something Positive, these characters are a lesbian couple)

I’m confused as to what YOU are confused about. The last line means exactly what you think it does.
I taught my 6 year old son the classic “Shirt, please” trick where the magician seems to magically remove the “volunteer’s” shirt from underneath his sweater. I’m betting green-shirt can get her lover’s underwear off the same way.

Green shirt is a girl? Magicians make objects, e.g., rabbits, appear from their hats. Green shirt can make a dildo appear and disappear. Pink shirt wants to be the hat from which the dildo appears and disappears.

Wow, that strip took a sharp turn in panel four. I was wondering what was Arlo about it until that point.

Put simply, she wants to be part of that “magic act”

Yeah, I’m pretty sure “Green shirt” is a girl, because red head refers to her as “oh sorceress.”
Although the hat reference is stretching it a bit. Typically, items appear from the hat and are vanished someplace else. It’s not very amazing to put something into a hat and say “Wow! It’s gone!” If it vanishes into thin air, however…

She’s also got a fairly noticeable bosom. (Although she may be an Amazon, based on how the left side of her overshirt falls.)
But, man, this is not one of Milholland’s better drawn strips. The faces and hands are usually much better.

Um, what does a magician pull from a hat?
A rabbit.

That’s the “certain elongated sex toy”, and why she wants to be a magician’s hat (so her girlfriend can pull the rabbit out of her… )

Hm, I posted a reply and it vanished…
Anyway, what does a magician pull from a hat?
A rabbit.

I keep trying to leave a reply but it’s not appearing. Maybe because I’m including a link? I dunno.
The Rabbit is a kind of vibrator. Watch her pull a Rabbit from her… hat.

That one worked, without the link. Weird.

Thanks for the head’s up that they were a lesbian couple (as opposed to merely roommates or friends with the guy having a man-boob issue) which explains why an invite to a Playboy party is good news. Although for a lesbian, I would think that would be a tough sell. Perhaps Indigo Girl tickets would go over better.

The “sorceress” bit through me as well so had to look again and decide that
there was breastage on green shirt.
Before a magician can pull anything out of a hat, he/she has to reach DEEP into
the hat first.
Is that too much on an entendre? Is it single or double?

Chuckers, a sorceress bit through you? Did you have to go to the hospital?
(”Threw”)

Ever see Chasing Amy?

Damn homophones. I blame all the people around me who are less than
fluent in English.
I do know the difference. My brain and fingers don’t often talk to each other.
My screwed up accent doesn’t help, either. I have been known to mix up
“are” and “our” as well.

Heather, I think posts with links get moderated and so only show up later.
Cidu Bill Jul 5th 2009 at 04:24 pm 17
Only posts with two or more links get held up. Posts with one link go right through as long as you’re not linking to morriskeesan.com

I could tell immediately that they were both girls, but ew, what a hideously drawn strip. And not funny either.
