Correctamundo. That’s the one I was thinking of.
Thanks.

But…why does he look like Elvis? Maybe it’s a different scheme. Jailhouse Rock?
Powers Jun 20th 2009 at 08:10 am 4
Elvis? Lots of other people wore pompadours in the fifties besides Elvis.

Even if a duplicate, still very timely, and an appropriate repeat. Along with the recent Madoff Ponzi schema, the SEC has just (6/19) cracked down on a NEW Ponzi scheme - http://www.sec.gov/news/press/2009/2009-140.htm - involving Two accountants and an Antiguan Regulator (starring Charlie Sheen?). Fraud, fraud, fraud, fraud, fraudly, fraud, fraud fraud …

Wordsprite - not Elvis.
The Fonz, Fonzie, Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli (from the 70s-80s sitcom “Happy Days” about how life was in the 50s), played by Henry Winkler. Sort of the whole joke, that Ponzi sounds like Fonzie. Conan featured a low quality wax figure of him numerous times on the Tonight Show last week; the “Fonzie touch” is used as a phrase for someone who can make mechanical things work by hitting them; “Jumping the shark” - meaning a tv show ain’t gonna get any better - came from Fonzie jumping a shark whilst water skiing (which he did with his leather jacket on, as well). Cunningham (Richie Cunningham), played by Ron Howard, was the star of the show (until Fonzie’s popularity overshadowed his character). “Eyyy” was a Fonzie catchphrase, and the “thumbs up” was also a trademark.

How about a Pons and Fleischmann scheme, selling cheap cold-fusion energy generators?

Could someone explain the headware to me?
Donna Jun 20th 2009 at 11:18 pm 11
Seems this one rates an “Eyyy, Geriatrics!” tag.

@Kate: Grimm has been posing as a Pet Psychic complete with crystal ball and turban.

Fozzie, as in Fozzie Bear (Muppets)? Or Potsie, as in Potsie Weber?
Fozzie is similar to Fonzi, but not very similar to Ponzi. Potsie is similar to Ponzi.

I never watched that show, but I still know who the Fonz is. Come on.
