    I’ve done that. Pulled the equivalent of a monkey out of a drain. Nasty. Now it’s better living through chemicals!

    I get Bo Nanas from my GoComics account. I had no idea they were reruns. I am in charging of snaking out the shower drain every couple of months and the resemblance to an escapee from NIMH is striking. I was more grossed out by the reference to the pelt under the robe. I don’t need to be imagining Mrs. Yannes’s unkempt pubic garden.

    @Powers — Yeh, I’ve usually thought of her as resembling Zippy.

    My puzzlement over Mrs. Yannes has been: If we knew her first name, would the full name together approximate a word or phrase the way “Bo Nanas” approximates ‘bananas’? I want to make it something like Yentas but that doesn’t work.
