This one’s from yesterday, and only loosely related, but I like it:

You can certainly understand why syndicated cartoonists are leading the “save our newspapers” bandwagon: Until a different business model for the distribution of their work comes along, this is their livelihood. And of course from the readers’ point of view, it will be a poorer world indeed without Arlo, Frazz, and so many of our other friends.
I personally look at this issue from both ends: I discontinued by own Crimeweek column in November after losing more than 3/4 of the newspapers carrying it. Nobody dropped the column: the papers themselves went out of business.
