Starting with Jeff then Timmy then she joined the U.S. Forest Service. Then came her years wandering in the desert until she ended up at the Holden ranch a foster home for abandoned boys. I was wrong before there were either 19 or 20 seasons, not sure which. From the very little I have read the blame for the show finally ending seems to be new restrictions on the content of children's television programs and a return to morality stories. I believe Lassie lasted as long as she did because the show changed over the years. Starting with Jeff then Timmy then
