Yesterday at work, I noticed the name Kevin Smith on a folder. It was, apparently, not THE Kevin Smith.

This is a fair question, Ploughman; but no, I never post a comic here simply for the sake of a good caption. In fact, there are time when I have a comic all ready to post, and suddenly I get it, and my first thought is “Damn, and I really liked that caption!”

While I suppose there are some comics I could decipher by doing some online research, remember that CIDU was around long before Google existed — this site strated out on Prodigy and then CompuServe — so that just isn’t my habit.

@devildan - I didn’t find the comic confusing, though I’m not blaming those that do. I’m just conjecturing that if there’s a comic that Bill may understand if he thought about it a little more but has a good pun for the title, it’s more likely to get posted. Maybe I’m giving too much credit to his comic understanding? Or his trademark puns (of which I am a fan)? Is it weird to keep referring to him in the third person on a site he runs and moderates? Do I need to stop asking questions that probably have no useful answers?

Having submitted this one as an LOL, I suppose I should speak up. Except it’s already been explained. Yes, it’s the middle of the conversation. It’s absurd, it’s silly, it made me laugh. I’m also a fan of the very recently late Howard Zieff’s “Slither,” and I’m pretty much alone in that as well.
