Normal Celebrity Jeopardy has celebrities as contestants. This version has all the questions being about celebrities.

    This is confusing.

Celebrity Jeopardy is when celebrities are competing with
the money won usually going to charity. But what would Alternative Celebrity Jeopardy be?

Alternate Jeopardy would simply be Jeopardy played by
different rules. Alrternate Celebrity on the other hand
    could mean just about anything.

What’s up with the dynamite on Rusty’s podium, the alien along the right-hand border, and the pie on the floor?

Knew I should have refreshed before sending. 8^)

Mateus: This is Bizarro, it often has little Easter Eggs hidden in the panel.

  6. solarrhino Feb 19th 2009 at 01:40 am 6

The answer was, “Her last name and her sex tape explain this.”

Ooops! The cartoon person is just selecting the square, not giving the question. My mistake!

Seems to just be a simple jab at an easy target.

As solarrhino illustrates, the fact that the category title is itself a question (I don’t think they do that on Jeopardy) muddles the joke.

Mateus: And how many (of the set) there are is a number placed by his signature. Kind of like looking for “Nina”s in a caricature sketch by Hirschfeld.

Funny that people still think of Alex Trebek as having a moustache, even though he hasn’t had one for over seven years now (not counting last year’s April Fool’s Day episode).

At Cartoon Academy, one of the first lessons we learn is that if you are only going to have one ethnic contestant, you don’t give them a ridiculously low score…

  12. Nate Feb 19th 2009 at 10:22 am 12

Solarrhino, I agree that “What is amateur porn?” IS the question to all 5 answers though. Because, is there any other reason? That is why I know her, and I have not watched the video.

  13. heather Feb 19th 2009 at 11:21 am 13

Not just the mustache, but some time ago they doubled all money values. First round is $200-400-600-800-1000, second round is double that. So there IS no $500 question anymore.

@ guy: The contestant “Rusty” looks more like a ’70s disco dude rather than a specific ethnicity.

  15. Scott Feb 19th 2009 at 12:58 pm 15

If we’re being nitpickers, the contestants are also not wearing mikes. The category seems a bit wordy also.

It’s not quite clear from the comments, but does everyone understand the cartoon? In “Alternative Celebrity jeopardy”, regular contestants ask questions about why & how certain untalented folk get celebrated. One can expect that other categories would be about, say, Monica Lewinsky, Tonya Harding, Jared (from Subway), Clay Aiken, &c., &c.

As with most good Bizarros, this one questions OUR reality, making us the actual bizarro world.

“Her already highly sought home video approached the retail popularity of ‘Pam and Tommy Lee’ when this title was applied.”

DP has a blog where h often gives insight into his cartoon - usually about a week later.

No, he’s black. Not saying he’s not a disco dude as well, but clearly he’s black.
