Is this some euphemism I probably don’t really want explained to me?

It is being said, metaphorically, that George Bush turns over the keys to the White House to Barack Obama today. Which got me to wondering… Does anybody know offhand whether the White House door actually has a key? I have this mental image of Bill Clinton slipping out some night to hit McDonald’s, locking the door behind him.
I’m sure there’s always Secret Service agents standing guard at every entrance, but can the front door be locked if necessary?

LOL for some, CIDU for others. Helps if you know the original joke, of course: Man walks into a bar and orders a drink. The bartender asks him why he’s so glum, and he reaches into his coat pocket and takes out a tiny piano and a small man who begins to play it. “A genie granted me one wish, but he was hard of hearing and thought I’d asked for a 12-inch pianist.”

1. If the joke assumes that that Steve Austin was WORTH $6M, then I can understand why, after giving half his assets to Jamie Sommers, he’d be called “The $3M Man”, but in this case giving up any part of his INCOME would no effect on his “title”.2. If the joke assumes that his INCOME is $6M, then giving away 25% of his income would make him “The $4.5M Man”, but in this case, his level of ASSETS would be irrelevant to his “title”. In either case, the logic combines apples and oranges.
I know that I am overthinking this, but I wanted to get this off my chest, as it has been bugging me since I read it.

It’s strongly suggested that you glance at the FAQ before adding comments. If you choose not to do so, please at least note that not every comic posted here is a CIDU — “LOL” entries, for example, are comics that I or other visitors thought were particularly funny — and that comments that offer no more than insults (directed at comic strip artists, other visitors, or me) are not acceptable. This blog is not moderated, but I will remove inappropriate comments.
One other thing worth noting: Any comment that contains two or more links, or any variation of spam-common words such as “suck” are automatically held for my approval and might not show up for a few hours. This is, of course, problematic when we have a comic related to vampires…

It’s amazing how often I’ve seen variations of this gag. Wouldn’t any clerk ask for a receipt?
And for the record, the story about Nordstrom’s refunding a man’s money for a tire probably isn’t true.
