Cheney Gets the Chair

Rayal was amused by the similarity between this New Yorker cartoon that appeared shortly before Election Day

and, of course, the Inauguration Day reality

    Guy in a wheelchair - hilarious. What’s next, baby slaughter?

    Elliott,
    Love the Strangelove call-out.

    I did a photoshop of Cheney as Blofeld recently.

    I wouldn’t mind seeing some baby slaughter….

    Tony, it’s not guy in a wheelchair; it’s Dick Cheney, the brains behind the brainless, who has run this country into the ground for the last eight years, and who will get to live the rest of his life on his millions & ours. We enjoy seeing a bit of suffering, since we know that we’ll never get him or Bush into prison.

    @tony:

    Cheney’s baby slaughter came before Cheney’s wheelchair - but you’re right, the slaughter has not been very funny.

    Comparing Cheney to Mr. Potter from “It’s a Wonderful Life” is kinda funny though…

    @4. Scott
    …after all, you can’t spell “baby slaughter” without “laughter”…

    “Baby’s laughter” no less. Some people love the sound of baby’s laughter.

    Tony, if your comment was directed at the New Yorker cartoon (and you you weren’t just mocking Elliott) I’m not sure you’re looking at it properly. It’s not Cheney in a wheelchair, it’s Cheney refusing to leave the White House voluntarily so he’s been picked up, chair and all, and dollied out the door. (I could see that happening.)

    The fact that the cartoon looks so much like the eventual reality is really striking and more than a bit amusing, though.

    “We” do? Is that something “we” enjoy?

    Yes, JW, it is. Enjoy.
