Okay, at first I was convinced the birds were referring to the target practice they were about to engage in — because that’s generally what birds perched on telephone wires in comic strips do. But now I’m thinking Heathcliff seems to be Rollerblading or somesuch. Or could it be… something else???

Pinny: I actually GET the punchline and I think that it it is hilarious {$2.25M = $6M *50% * (1-25%)}. What I don’t understand is the logic:
1. If the joke assumes that that Steve Austin was WORTH $6M, then I can understand why, after giving half his assets to Jamie Sommers, he’d be called “The $3M Man”, but in this case giving up any part of his INCOME would no effect on his “title”.2. If the joke assumes that his INCOME is $6M, then giving away 25% of his income would make him “The $4.5M Man”, but in this case, his level of ASSETS would be irrelevant to his “title”. In either case, the logic combines apples and oranges.
I know that I am overthinking this, but I wanted to get this off my chest, as it has been bugging me since I read it.
All of which ties into today’s SMBC. Sort of. -Bill

Eric Herboso: I just don’t get the joke at all. Is it supposed to be ironic because a robot has a morning routine like a human? I’m confused.
