Actually, I can relate to this. Although my mom died from colon cancer, I’d put off getting a colonoscopy for years. When I finally got one, it wasn’t really that unpleasant (even did it without anesthesia) and I felt relieved to know they didn’t find anything.
I did manage to bore people with the story for a while — now including you!
Advice: if you doctor says “get one” and you’ve been putting it off, get it in early 2009.
