    I think the girl in the second comic isn’t trying to catch a snowflake. I think she’s sticking her tongue out at the blond kid, who naively doesn’t get it.

    That’s me, I think most of us understood that. Although, I’m not sure it quite fits Bill’s heading; there is snow, she’s just not trying to catch it on her tongue.

    In the third one, if he’s reading about it in the paper, would the popcorn still be falling? Unless this is ten or so years in the future, and the newspaper he’s reading is electronic paper (a technology the newspaper companies wanted to foist on us).
