They’re hunting the mammoth and the mammoth is winning. It’s killed ten men.

The guy shouts it out and the guys ask if it’s a live broadcast or delayed like in sports broadcasting. Pretty simple.

    This isn’t a CIDU, it’s an LMAO

Now that I’ve read it again, I don’t get it. I was thinking that maybe the question was about the timing of the announcer. Or just another joke fooling around with anachronisms.

I think that the two in the foreground can’t see the action - it is hidden by the hill the announcer is on. So they are only getting the audio. And then comes the anachronism of is it live or delayed. They can’t tell if he’s calling it as it happens or if he is just recreating what happened earlier.

I’m with BlueRaja, this one really made me laugh. I know that recorded sporting events don’t hold the same sense of anticipation and tension for me as watching them live, because I know the outcome has been “predetermined”. To think that this feeling is so universal that it goes back to prehistoric times is funny. (I didn’t say it was technologically logical… just funny.)

Well, if it’s a live broadcast, the people listening will have to be on the lookout for a wardrobe malfunction. Those don’t happen on delayed broadcasts.

I just can’t get over the look on guy’s face standing on the right.

The caveman who is speaking is apparently toying with the concept of how much time it takes for the sound created by the caller’s voice to travel to the ears of the listeners.

Michael is right… the fact that they’re in the stone age is funny cause you can’t have a delayed broadcasting.
