Kaitlyn: Is it funny because he’s got a raincoat, boots, and an umbrella on so he can’t get wet? But he can - umbrellas do jack against the rain, especially if they flip inside out. And the hood isn’t foolproof, again the wind.

I also don’t understand where they are and why she would leave him - he’s not more than six, right?

This is also kinda weird, because it’s raining today here and elsewhere, I’m sure. I know it rains somewhere every day, I just thought it was odd that I spent today running around in the rain and then I get home and don’t understand a comic about rain.

Newt Gingrich: Saturday Night Live Guilty of Slander

Newt Gingrich told Fox News Wednesday (see clip) that Saturday Night Live’s portrayals of Sarah Palin “were slander and were worthy of a lawsuit.”

This is kind of funny until your remember that Gingrich used to be Speak of the House, and therefore one of the most powerful members of the governmental body that makes our laws. Then it becomes kind of scary.

A few years ago I would not have gotten this one.

What I’m wondering now is… Are we supposed to assume Arlo knows that Janis gets her hair colored when she gets it cut, or is he making the comment out of (stereo)typical male ignorance? The comic really works either way, but what’s the consensus on Jimmy Johnson’s intent here?
