The woman doesn’t like her parents, and is thus irritated at her husband’s suggestion that they are to be welcomed home? And for the bookends, the parents are snowbirds — northern folks who go south for the winters — who are driving back from Florida or wherever, to a home where they’ll be the target of their daughter’s ire.

And … OK, I guess I don’t understand what the ‘joke’ is, either. That daughters hate their parents so much that merely being in the same neighborhood as them makes the daughters want to fire buckshot into their parents?

I always thought the beginning of Snowbird season was November/December and the end would be March/April. This comic makes no sense at this time of year. It’s not the end of Snowbird season unless you live somewhere way south of the equator.

I thought the same a Elyrest, but the date on the comic appears to be 5.24, which might be within snowbird return season in more northern climes.

The date’s off because “The Norm” ended publication some years ago. We’re getting a repeat out of season.
