    She’s boring him.

    Which should make him run - if he’s bored as a frog, what will happen when he’s a prince? Surely he can find a princess with less issues.

    Of course, that doesn’t count as a joke, so I’m not sure.

    I thought if I knew what the drugs were supposed to treat, the comic might make sense. But those drugs aren’t real.

    They could be standins for Paxil, Ambien, and Valium. Which would mean that the princess is supposed to have some kind of anxiety issues, or that she has a sleep disorder. But the only princesses I can think of with sleep disorders are Sleeping Beauty (wrong kind of sleeping problem) and the one from the “Princess and the Pea”. Neither of those make the strip funny.

    He needs her to kiss him so he can transform back into a prince. But she’s gabbing away like should would with a friend, so there’s no chance of a kiss. Maybe the humor is in the extreme unlikelihood of a princess really kissing a frog?

    If she just kisses him, she’ll live “happily ever after” and won’t need all those drugs.

    Maybe a joke on holistics vs medicine?

    She wants the frog to turn into a Prince, but rather than use the old method of kissing she is trying heavily marketed drugs.

    Justme’s got it….she’s looking for a way to live happily ever after, and the frog thinks she could if she would just kiss him so he could turn into her prince.

    I was going for the urban legend belief that toad-licking can give a drug effect, before I realised that the drugs were meant to be anti-anxiety.

    Kind of annoying that they don’t use actual drug names - when they’re clearly meant to be stand ins for actual drugs. I guess they think it’s a legal issue..

    I took it to mean that she won’t kiss a guy until they’re boyfriend & girlfriend, and she won’t be a guy’s girlfriend unless he’s a good listener.

    So in order to get what he wants, the guy has to wait patiently while the girl gets what she wants (someone to share *all* her problems with).

    I think I got it,

    I think chase got close by saying she is talking to him “like a friend”.

    basically the frog just needs a kiss from a princess but is stuck in the “friend zone” and therefore probably won’t get a kiss.
